McLaren Falls - Distance: 19 KM - McLaren Falls is located just off State Highway 29. This scenic spot is perfect for those seeking a picturesque view of the waterfall from the pedestrian bridge. The falls are part of McLaren Falls Park, with the main entrance a further 300 metres along the road. One of the highlights of the park is the waterfall track where you can see glow worms after dusk. Enjoy a short, easy stroll to the picturesque waterfall and spot the glow worms on either side of the track. 


Marshalls Animal Park - Distance: 19 KM - Situated adjacent to McLaren Falls Park, Marshalls Animal Park​ is a unique attraction with 35 acres of friendly animals and fun. Children are able to feed and play with a host of farmyard animals and see the unusual character-filled emus, giant African ostriches, Texas longhorns, several breeds of sheep, deer, goats, birds, pigs and horses from Clydesdales to cute miniatures.


Omanawa Falls - Distance: 22 KM - Omanawa Falls is situated in the stunning Kaimai ranges. At its heart featuring a breathtaking 35 metres waterfall cascading into a pristine pool surrounded by lush New Zealand native rainforest. This stunning site, sacred to local hapū (subtribe) Ngāti Hangarau, offers well-formed tracks through scenic bush to perfectly placed lookouts that oversee the Ōmanawa Falls and the large rock pool below.
